Call for Dedication Theme,
The New term Board of Directors, Advisory Board, and the
Turkish-Armenian Synergy Initiative
First, we would like to inform you that the combined MINUTES of the LMBoD Meeting and the Annual Meeting, held on Sept. 30, 2009 is now available on the organization's web site under the 501c3 link <http://www.lightmillennium.org/501_c_3/LMBoD_minutes_sept_30_2009_approved_on_line.pdf>. The minutes include the new term Board of Directors, the Advisory Board, and the members of the existing and newly formed committees. For more information:
We are very excited to announce that during the September 30, 2009 Board of Directors meeting, The Light Millennium formed the Turkish-Armenian Synergy Initiative Committee in collaboration with the Civil Society Institute in Yerevan, Armenia.
Based on the latest LMBoD Meeting, we've also updated the BoD, and Advisory Board web-page along with the existing and newly defined Committees. We’d like to encourage you to join one of the Committees that may best fit your interest areas and experiences. Please see the following link for the full list of the Committees:
In reference to "Volunteer Representatives& Correspondents" page, we consider creating a new web-page based on your confirmation of participation to the organization, including your interest areas, experiences, and location. DEDICATION THEME for the UPCOMING 23rd ISSUE
In particular, we expect from each of you a new idea to be submitted for each new issue (in English or Turkish), either on a dedication issue or on your personal interest areas. You are also welcome to bring in at least one or two new content contributors from your circle to the organization so that we may be able to present a more diverse group and effectively promote a participatory approach on the organization's website.
Furthermore, based on the latest MINUTES, we would like to propose the below ideas for the dedication theme for the Winter2009/2010 e-issue (Issue#23) of the Light Millennium, inspired by the 64th Session of the General Assembly Meetings of the UN:
*** A World without Nuclear and All Weapons and/or
*** Global Peace and Security for All
Also Janet Ekstract suggested "Women Trafficking"as the dedication theme during the Annual Meeting on September 30, 2009.
Please submit your ideas either on one of the above proposed dedication themes, or your interest areas, or your experiences in order to be e-published in the Winter'09 issue of the Light Millennium.
