JOE CARNEY'S BIOGRAPHY
In the year 3000...
I travel the spaceways, unstuck in time. We move at the speed of thought, looking for the greatest sounds and myths. Music and language are now recorded on stem cells, the human evolution of microchips. I search for the link from the Big Bang to the first drum, and for the poetry in between. Suns of all colors...planet to planet....to Venus to sit in at a Fela show and onward again. They say history repeats itself....repeats itself... repeats itself...(Sun Ra). The galaxies are now the crossroads. (Fictional bio)
Joseph Carney lives in Brooklyn where he plays in the bands El Guapo and Honeyboy Wilson. He has written about music and other real life loves in the story collections Twelve Bar Truths(1997) and Saturday Crowd Scenes(2000).
