Asl? Omur is a journalist, sales girl, wife & semi-fotog living in Seattle. A native of Istanbul-Santo Domingo-Tampa-Miami-now-Seattle, she's a globalista of sorts. Her works can be seen in publications (online & print) like Northwest Asian Weekly, The North Seattle Herald-Outlook, The Bellevue Reporter, The Turkish Times, The Tampa Tribune and The Kirkland Reporter, among others. In her spare time, she's a published & performing poet and photographer. She was the 2006 recipient of the Society of Professional Journalists June Anderson Almquist Memorial Scholarship and has recieved various notes of merit for her works in fiction and poetry. Asli is an avid reader of Plath, Vonnegut, Sexton, Pamuk and any criminalogy reports.
