Listed below are the Board of Directors and decision-makers of the Light Millennium. The Board of Directors is elected during the last Board Member Meeting held on Thursday, September 30, 2009 in New York City.
However, there has been some changes since then. As first, Civil Society Institute (Yerevan) has withdrawn itself from the Turkish-Armenian Synergy Initiative of the Light Millennium as of February 6, 2010. Moreover, the organization's Vice President Prof. Samuel M. PALEY passed away on March 31, 2010.
The Light Millennium hold its latest BoD Meeting at the Baruch College on April 24, 2010, and Selçuk ACAR, TurkishJournal.Com has joined to the Board of Directors of the Light Millennium during the meeting.
Based on our latest Board of Directors Meeting (April 24, 2010, NYC), we are seeking ways to expand and empower the BoD. We welcome new participants from various cultural and professional backgrounds in order to establish diversity within the BoD. We aim to increase the sustainability of the organization with a diverse and inclusive participation from different professional disciplines and cultural backgrounds globally.
If you are interested in joining the organization: you may take part in the Governing Body, or the Advisory Board; you may serve as a Pro-Bono Professional, a Volunteer Representative, a Volunteer Staff Member, a Translator, or get involved in the Production/Program aspects of the organization, or in one of its Committees. Introduced on the WEB with its
Introductory Issue in August 1999; and officially formed on July 17, 2001.
